Commemorate the 78th PUPR Day by planting trees and cleaning rivers

INFO KU, BLORA - The 78th PUPR Service Day was commemorated by the Blora Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (DPUPR) by holding a clean-up and tree planting activity on the banks of the Grojogan River, last Wednesday.  

The event began with a morning assembly between the DPUPR ranks together with the TNI Kodim 0721 and the Blora Police at the location of the guava alley, Mlangsen Village, Blora District (Tirtonadi Complex) where a landslide had occurred and had been handled.

The rally was led directly by the Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman. The rally participants consisted of DPUPR ranks, volunteers (OP officers), Blora Subdistrict Head, TNI, Polri and the Environmental Service.   

In his speech, Blora Regent Arief Rohman congratulated the 78th PUPR Service Day and hoped that performance and real work would continue to be improved, serving wholeheartedly.

"God willing, the community's expectations regarding infrastructure will get better and better over time," said the Regent of Blora.

After the rally, the event continued with the planting of various trees by the Regent of Blora, Dandim 0721/Blora and related officials at the riverbank location in Gang Jambu.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Blora Regency DPUPR, Samgautama Karnajaya, activities held in the framework of the 78th PUPR Service Day in 2023, coincidentally coincided with the TN-Polri service work.  

"Incidentally the location is the same, the only difference is that if the TNI-Polri clean up the river in Grojogan, we clean the river and plant trees, because it is to prevent landslides," he said.

He said, there are several types of trees (perennials) such as jackfruit, avocado and mango, which are planted on the banks of the Grojogan River, precisely on the edge of the former Jambu Alley landslide, Mlangsen Village.

Meanwhile, in front of a number of Muhammadiyah Vocational School 1 students, the Head of DPPUR Blora said that Eco Enzym is actually very good for neutralizing water turbidity, odors and so on, including being good for health.

"Only at DPUPR, because this is its main function, we usually use this to neutralize the condition of water in rivers, ditches and sewers so that it doesn't smell and is clean," he said.
