INFOKU, BLORA – It must be admitted that the current number of firefighting (damkar) personnel in Blora is still minimal.
Moreover, the recruitment of fire personnel in Blora is not large, if you count there are only 24 fire personnel.
This made several residents in Blora complain about the performance of the fire brigade, giving this OPD a bad stigma.
This complaint was acknowledged by the Head of the Blora Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) Hendi Purnomo when confirmed by journalists.
Hendi said that Blora needs to have a fire post in every sub-district.
The reason is, so far there have been several locations that are considered far enough for the fire brigade to access them.
Thus, the public's view of firefighters is bad and they do not prioritize the safety of their citizens.

Blora Regency also only has four fire stations. Covering Blora City, Ngawen, Cepu, and Randublatung.
"As an officer who puts out fires, we often get complaints, complaints and unpleasant words when the firefighters arrive too late to put out the fire," he said.
"Meanwhile, the normal travel time for firefighters to get to the location of the fire is only 15 minutes. "Not only do we lack fire stations, we also lack professional personnel specifically for firefighters," he added.
Hendi revealed that currently there are 24 Blora fire personnel and six fire trucks.
The proposal regarding the fire post and personnel needs has been submitted to the district government for consideration.
The reason is, this is not a request from the fire brigade. But because of the large number of residents who were victims of the fire.
"In the future, if fire stations have been established in each sub-district, we will follow this up with the formation of volunteer firefighters in each sub-district," he said.

For registrants in this formation, around 270 participants registered.
"These 24 formations will later be placed according to the placement unit. "There is the Blora Regent's Rumdin, Satpol PP, the fire department, and the fire management section," he explained. (Endah/ IST )
