INFOKU, BLORA - Head of Daily Operations (Kalakhar) BPBD Blora Regency Sri Widjanarsih, revealed that out of 16 sub-districts in Blora Regency, there were 125 villages that had been proposed and mapped out of 14 sub-districts experiencing drought in the 2023 dry season.
However, due to the extreme weather during the dry season, at the beginning it was proposed that 125 villages from the sub-district had continued to increase, now there are 188 villages hoping to receive clean water assistance.
This number is expected to increase again until the rainy season arrives.
"Initially proposed from the District there were 125 villages, continuing to grow to 188 villages," said Kalakhar BPBD Blora Sri Widjanarsih, Wednesday (23/8/2023).

He explained, there are two districts that have not experienced drought. Namely Kradenan District and Todanan District.
"The BMKG Blora map includes drought areas. Of the 16 sub-districts affected by drought, there are 14 sub-districts. Two sub-districts have not, namely Kradenan and Todanan sub-districts," he explained.
The areas worst affected by the drought are in several villages and hamlets in Jati and Randublatung sub-districts.

According to him, BPBD has been dropping clean water to a number of villages that are experiencing the drought. Even the delivery of water is carried out every day.
"BPBD has sent clean water to a number of villages that are experiencing drought. Almost every day, in one day there are one to two adjacent sub-districts, which we do dropping. For one village three tanks," he said.
BPBD Blora noted that the dry season in Blora has occurred since the beginning of last July. And it is predicted to reach its peak in September 2023.

"At the beginning of July we have entered the dry season, the peak of the dry season will be in August and September. Later according to the BMKG in October and November there will be El Nino, so we also have to be aware of its impact," he explained.
