IPB and UGM Place 180 KKN Students in Blora


INFOKU, BLORA - As many as 180 students from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) and Gadjah Mada University (UGM) conducted Community Service Programs (KKN) in the Blora Regency area.

They were asked to help develop the livestock and agricultural sectors, as well as empower the Blora people.

Blora Regent H. Arief Rohman, directly gave directions to students in the Blora Bappeda hall, Monday (26/6/2023), shortly before they were deployed to the KKN location.

"By sending these creative and innovative young people, it will really help the Blora Regency Government in developing and solving problems in Blora Regency, especially those in the KKN Location Village," said the Regent when receiving the KKN students from IPB and UGM.

The Regent conveyed that from the village where the IPB Innovation KKN-T was located, many people owned cattle. Bearing in mind that Blora has a large cattle population in Central Java with a total of 285,500 head, he asked students to help Blora breeders to progress.

"Palon Village, Jepon District, which has become an IPB assisted village and has been successful in cattle development, can be used as an example of an activity program for other KKN Village locations in Blora Regency, so that livestock can progress," he explained.

Including, he continued, helping to overcome the problem of livestock diseases. "We also ask for help for the potential that exists from younger students of Veterinary Medicine to help us with problems regarding animal husbandry such as FMD (Foot and Mouth Disease) and lato-lato.

On the other hand, the Regent, who is fondly called Ma Arief, hopes that the KKN students can develop the potential that exists in the Tunjungan area, which has potential in terms of tourism and agriculture, such as fruits, nature tourism, agriculture and animal husbandry, which ultimately leads to increased welfare. public.

As many as 180 students from IPB and UGM will be doing the KKN in Blora, in detail, 150 IPB students will be carrying out the Thematic Innovation KKN, while 30 UGM students will be carrying out the Community Empowerment Learning KKN (PPM).

In connection with the placement of IPB Innovation KKN-T students (150 students), among others, in Japah District in 5 villages. Each in the villages of Pengkolrejo, Sumberjo, Bogorejo, Watbakah and Krocok.

Furthermore, in Ngawen sub-district also in 5 villages. Each in the villages of Karangjong, Sendangmulyo, Wantilgung, Srigading and Sambongrejo. Then for the Jepon District there are 6 villages, respectively the Villages of Palon, Blungun, Kawengan, Bangsri, Semanggi and Geneng.

Then, for the placement of KKN PPM from UGM as many as 30 students, in two villages in the Tunjungan District. Each in Tunjungan Village and in Kedungrejo Village.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of IPB, Irfan Syauqi Beik, revealed that with this KKN, students can be more honed in helping solve problems faced by society.

After being deployed, students are expected to be able to contribute and provide benefits to the community and the Blora Regency Government.

"Part of it will be completed at the end of July and part of it at the end of September as the realization of the Entrepreneurial-Based Galloping Village program in three sub-districts in Blora," added Irfan Syauqi Beik.

Then, the implementation of the IPB Innovation KKN-T Year 2023 as well as the Agribusiness Entrepreneurial Village Program, where the main activity is the development of the village economy according to its potential, be it livestock, agriculture, agribusiness, economy, and other potentials.

Meanwhile, UGM KKN field supervisor, Eko Setyobudi, said that the UGM students who were deployed were expected to be able to present a program whose benefits were felt by the community.

He also said that the KKN team was ready to work together to help government programs.
