INFOKU, BLORA –The data obtained shows that the tuberculosis (TB) rate in Blora is still high. From January to March this year there have been 222 cases.
The Blora Health Service (Dinkes) asked all parties to participate in preventing its spread. This is because TB is a dangerous endemic infectious disease.
Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P3) of the Blora Health Office Joko Budi Heri Santoso said, during 2022 there were 1,269 cases recorded. The reduction target is 1,750 cases
Heri continued, residents who are identified as having TB can get free treatment provided by the government.
Treatment is carried out with a time frame of about 6 months. During treatment, it is recommended to clean the environment so that the treatment period quickly produces results.
“Besides being treated, it also detects contacts who are prone to infection. Such as next of kin which is called contact identification. After recovering, we are still monitoring and giving directions to maintain a healthy lifestyle so that the disease does not return,'' he told the media.
Heri added, TB attacks all ages. The majority of people with the disease are adults.
This is because immunization programs in the past were still not optimal.0 So that today's adults are susceptible to this disease.
Currently, the Health Office is trying to prevent transmission through immunization to infants. That's so that the baby is not easily infected with the disease.

In addition, at the district or city level, TB includes special attention in minimum service standards (SPM). This is because it is a dangerous endemic infectious disease.
