INFOKU, BLORA - The 13-kilometer access road that connects Blora Regency, Central Java with Ngawi Regency, East Java is in a very bad condition.
The Regent of Blora, Arief Rohman, responded to the damaged inter-district and inter-provincial roads, by going down to the location.
When checking the road section, his party also asked the relevant agencies and agencies to repair it temporarily by backfilling gross stock on the Randublatung - Getas section, Bodeh Village area, Randublatung District.
The PKB politician also worked together by leveling the gravel-fill material with a hoe with the local community.
You can see dozens of forest workers and farmers crossing the damaged road to go home after working in the fields.
Even before he arrived, a truck transporting corn crops was mired in a damaged road.
"We are together with the Sub-District Head, Danramil, Kapolsek, PUPR Service, there is Mas Yuyus also a member of the council, and residents work together to level the gross material on Jalan Randublatung - Getas Kradenan, along with Bodeh Village. The village is in the middle of a teak forest, the closest access to Ngawi Java East. In the meantime, so we can pass safely first," Arief said based on his written statement, Saturday (11/2/2023).
To overcome the condition of the damaged roads between provinces, Arief is submitting an application for development assistance to the Central Government through a presidential instruction (Inpres), in order to obtain budget support from the Ministry of PUPR.
"This road is Blora's closest access to the Ngawi toll exit if we succeed in building the road," he said.
Arief further explained that his reason for asking for support from the central government was because the road was located in the middle of a forest where there was also Gajah Mada University's (UGM) Forest Area with a Special Purpose (KHDTK) covering an area of 11 thousand hectares.
"There is a Field Campus of the Faculty of Forestry UGM Yogyakarta, the President's alma mater. Every year UGM students come here," he explained.
