INFOKU, BLORA -President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Randugunting Dam, Japah District, Blora Regency, Wednesday (5/1) yesterday.
During that time and place, Jokowi met with farmers from Blora, Rembang, and Pati.
Sukarji, a farmer from Sekarsar Village hopes that the existence of the Randugunting Dam can be beneficial for the entire community.
Mainly farmers around Blora Regency, Rembang Regency, and Pati Regency.
“This rice plant requires optimal irrigation. So we hope that the Randugunting Dam can supply water to the Kedung Sapen Dam. The Kedung Sapen Dam can irrigate our area, the Sumber and Kaliori sub-districts, Rembang," he said.
Sukarji hopes that the presence of the dam can improve the living standards of farmers in the vicinity. "Thank you Pak Jokowi for giving us a reservoir of this size," he explained.

It is different with Syakib, a farmer from Jatihadi Village, Rembang, hopes that the government can also normalize other dams that are already shallow. According to him, this makes farmers have to wait for rain to irrigate their fields.
"So I ask for your attention, Mr. Jokowi, please normalize the dam because it is shallow, so that people can enjoy the water that can flow to the farmers," said Syakib.
Meanwhile, Supardi, an onion farmer from Jatihadi Village, feels grateful for the existence of the Randugunting Dam.
Supardi hopes that the irrigation from the dam can benefit onion farmers.

"I thank you very much for the existence of the Randugunting Dam which will be awaited by farmers to be enjoyed by all farmers," said Supardi.
Meanwhile, Markum admitted that he had been dreaming of a dam since 2010. "Alhamdulillah, this year Randugunting has been built, it can irrigate the residents' agriculture of about 1,520 hectares," he explained.
