Around 50 Percent Cut in Blora Regency Government's Travel and Operational Budget

INFOKU, BLORA – The Blora Regency Government plans to cut the budget for official travel ,  office operations  , and  electricity tokens .

This policy must be taken as a follow-up to the central government's efficiency policy.

However, the district government ensured that it would not cut  budget allocations  for programs that are directly related to  public services .

Blora Regional Secretary ( Sekda )  Komang Gede Irawadi explained that the initial draft of the regional apparatus organization ( OPD ) spending efficiency includes reducing the budget for office stationery (ATK), seminars, event organizing, and official travel by up to 50 percent.

"If there are OPDs that do not want to follow this rule, they will face the center directly," he said.

He reminded all OPD heads to optimize office operational efficiency, including reducing electricity use after working hours.

"If calculated every day,  electricity savings  can have a significant impact on  regional budget efficiency  ," he said.

However, the Regional Secretary from Bali emphasized that efficiency should not be carried out on several activities.

Among these are community service activities, including health services, licensing, population, trade, taxes and regional levies.

In addition, funds come from tobacco excise revenue sharing funds ( DBHCHT ),   fiscal  incentive funds, village funds , and transfer funds from the  Central Java ( Jateng ) Provincial Government (Pemprov ).

"Including income from regional public service agencies (BLUD) and regional loans also cannot be cut," he said.

The implementation of the Presidential Instruction began after the issuance of a Circular Letter from the Minister of Home Affairs ( Mendagri ) following the inauguration.

In the midst of this policy, the party invites all OPD heads to continue to maintain and improve the Integrity Zone in each agency.

Also requested that the 2024 APBD regional government financial report (LKPD)   be completed immediately.

"I ask that the completion of the LKPD be done properly and quickly. Because if not, it will potentially affect our WTP (fair without exception) predicate," he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman  of the Blora DPRD  Siswanto  emphasized that in principle he supports the central government's efficiency policy. His party will also discuss the policy with the government, but will wait for the completion of the Regent's inauguration. Of course, they will discuss changes to the APBD.

"We are still waiting, because after the inauguration there is an explanation of the regent's vision and mission, which is manifested in the RPJMD  (regional medium-term development plan) and manifested in changes to the APBD. That is what will be discussed together," he concluded. (Endah/ IST )
