INFOKU, BLORA -As a form of preserving local culture, Kyai Bisma's heritage carnival was again held in commemoration of the 272nd Anniversary of Blora Regency.
The carnival is carried out after the heirloom is cleaned or jammed.
The annual tradition or ritual is carried out, Saturday morning (12/25/2021), at 00.00 to 01.00 WIB every December.
This year it will be held in a simple manner and adhere to health protocols because it is still in a pandemic atmosphere.
All the parade participants wore Javanese traditional clothes, black beskap and batik jarik cloth bottoms, as well as head coverings in the form of blangkon and masks.
The participants of the carnival were men, which was led directly by the Regent H. Arief Rohman.
Acting as cucuk lampah is the Head of Dinporabudpar, Drs. Kunto Aji, and the bearer of the Keris Kyai Bisma is the Regional Secretary Komang Gede Irawadi.
Before the carnival, the Keris Kyai Bisma was first handed over by the Regent to the Regional Secretary. The carnival starts from the Regent's official residence hall with a bracelet meeting route.

The parade participants consisted of the Tosan Aji Pandemen heirloom community, Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), Heads of Sub-districts throughout Blora Regency, representatives of the Lurah, Permadani, and Kirab Paraga, as well as security from the Satpol PP.
"Alhamdulillah, although it was delayed for several days, we can finally carry out the Heritage Carnival. During the walk, we were not allowed to talk. Everyone is doing silent asceticism while praying and praying in their hearts so that in the future Blora will be even better, and the people will prosper," said Regent Arief after attending the Kirab.
According to him, this is a form of preserving the local culture of Blora Regency which is routinely carried out every year.
"This is a form of preserving the ancestral culture of Blora Regency. The Keris Kyai Bisma is an heirloom left by the previous Blora Regent which has been passed down from generation to generation to the next Regent," he added.
After the dikirab, the Keris Kyai Bisma, which was fitted with a string of jasmine flowers, was again stored in the room of the Regent's office. (Endah/IST)
