INFOKU, BLORA –It can be said that the number of children not attending school (ATS) in Blora Regency is still quite high.
Based on data from the Blora Education Office (Disdik), there are around 2,900 ATS.
This figure is down from the initial data of 3,869 ATS.
Blora Education Office Secretary Nuril Huda told the press that the decrease in numbers occurred because duplicate data was found or children were already recorded in other databases.

"From the latest data release of 3,869 children, after we verified and matched the data, there were several duplicate names that were already recorded in other data.
"So the number has decreased to around 2,900 children," he said.
The Department of Education is now mapping ATS based on each individual's conditions.
One of them is children with special needs (ABK), of which there are more than a thousand children and who require special education services.
Meanwhile, ATS who drop out of school or do not continue their education will be directed back to educational services.
Apart from formal schools, equivalent education pathways through SKB and non-formal institutions are also options.
Next year, the Department of Education also plans to pioneer a Disability Services Unit (ULD).
One of these services targets children with special needs who have difficulty accessing SLB.
"At the very least, there will be services through home visits, because not all children can attend special needs schools. The number of schools is limited, and access is also a challenge," Nuril explained.
