All villages in Blora Regency have not yet regulated internet network rentals.

INFOKU, BLORA –The use of village assets for commercial internet networks in Blora Regency has not yet generated income for the village government.

Of the total of 271 villages in Blora, not one has a village regulation (Perdes) as a basis for regulating the use of these assets.

In fact, internet networks that cross or utilize village assets have the potential to become a source of original village income (PADes).

This potential has not been optimally exploited because there are no regulations governing the utilization and payment mechanisms by internet service providers.

Head of the Blora Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD), Yayuk Windrati, said that the Village Regulation is needed to provide legal certainty in the use of village assets by third parties, including internet service providers.

"There needs to be clear regulations. If village assets are used for commercial activities, the utilization mechanism must also be regulated," he told the press.

According to Yayuk, village assets that have the potential to be used for internet networks are quite diverse, including village roads that stretch across various areas.

Utilization of these assets can provide economic value if regulated with the right mechanism.

"The village has many assets, including a long village road. If used for internet access, its benefits can be calculated," he explained.

He assessed that regulating asset utilization was also necessary to ensure justice for village governments.

Because, assets used for commercial purposes should have a clear utilization and payment mechanism in accordance with the provisions.

To encourage this, the Blora DPMD plans to facilitate village governments in drafting village regulations.

With the regulation, villages are expected to have a clear basis for regulating the use of assets and determining payment mechanisms for users.
