INFOKU, BLORA –Three days after the incident, the wreckage of the plane that crashed into agricultural land in Sarimulyo Village, Ngawen District, Blora Regency, has not been recovered. This situation has prevented affected tobacco farmers from harvesting their crops.
One of the affected farmers, Susilowati, 47, a resident of Banjarmlati Hamlet, Sarimulyo Village, said her tobacco farm covers approximately half a hectare. Nearly half of the crop was affected by the plane crash and fire.
According to Susilowati, the tobacco plants were actually entering harvest time. The harvest was planned for this week. However, the activity had to be postponed because the area was still cordoned off and the plane wreckage had not yet been removed.

"It should be harvest time this week. But we're not allowed to approach because there's still a police line," he told the press.
She said she received information about the incident from a neighbor over the phone. At the time, her husband couldn't believe it. After checking on his motorcycle, he discovered that his tobacco fields had been burned by the plane crash.
He was also concerned that the harvest delay would impact cooperation with a tobacco company in Rembang. He had signed a contract and was obligated to deliver the harvest according to the terms.
"We've collaborated with a company in Rembang. What I'm worried about is the fines if we don't harvest and ship the crops soon. We've already signed a written contract," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding compensation, Susilowati stated that discussions have already taken place. The pilot reportedly expressed his willingness to provide compensation. The East Java branch of the Indonesian Aerosports Federation (FASI) also promised compensation.
However, there has been no certainty or payment of compensation to date. "The East Java FASI still promises compensation, but it's still verbal," he said.
Susilowati hopes for certainty regarding compensation. She hopes the losses incurred due to the damage to the tobacco crops will be reimbursed for around Rp 20 million.
"He wants compensation of Rp. 20 million," he said.
Meanwhile, the plane wreckage remained at the site as of Tuesday (September 8th). Police lines were also still in place, preventing farmers from freely accessing their fields to harvest.
This situation has farmers hoping that the evacuation of the plane wreckage will begin soon. This way, the land can be accessed again and the tobacco crops that are still harvestable will not suffer further losses. (End a h/ IST )
