INFOKU, BLORA –Filling the position of Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Blora Regency has entered a crucial stage.
Nine of the best officials of the Blora Regency Government underwent a competency test using the Assessment Center method at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday (24/9/2026).
This competency test is to measure their leadership capacity, managerial abilities, and readiness to lead regional bureaucracy.
The assessment, which took place over two days, 24–25 September 2026, at the Transnational Crime Center (TNCC) Building at the National Police Headquarters, was one of the main stages in the Open and Competitive Selection for the Filling of the High-Level Leadership Position of the Regional Secretary of Blora Regency.
The Deputy Regent of Blora, Sri Setyorini, emphasized that the selection process was carried out to ensure that the strategic position of Regional Secretary was filled by a figure capable of strengthening governance while improving the quality of public services.
"We want to ensure that the elected Regional Secretary truly possesses managerial capacity, strong leadership, and the ability to strengthen governance and public services in Blora Regency," said Sri Setyorini when opening the event.
According to him, the Regional Secretary has a central position as the driving force of the bureaucracy, coordinating regional apparatus organizations, and guaranteeing the continuity of regional government administration.
Therefore, the process of filling positions must be transparent, objective, accountable and competency-based.
Meanwhile, the Level III Human Resources Assessor for the Indonesian National Police SSDM, Senior Commissioner Wiraga Dimas Tama, stated that the Assessment Center is an assessment method that has a high level of validity in mapping participants' leadership potential and competencies.
In the remarks read by the Head of the SSDM Polri Career Development Bureau, it was stated that assessment is an important instrument to ensure the selection of officials who have managerial capabilities, sensitivity to the dynamics of the strategic environment, and the ability to optimize public services quickly and accurately.
"The Assessment Center is an important instrument to ensure the selection of officials with managerial skills and sensitivity to the dynamics of the strategic environment," he said.
In another section, the Head of the Blora Regency BKPSDM, Heru Eko Wiyono, explained that the assessment results are scheduled to be announced on October 6, 2026. The participants will then take part in the next selection stage in Semarang on October 9, 2026.
The following nine participants took part in the assessment, namely the Head of the Regional Health Service Edi Widayat , Regional Inspector Irfan Agustin Iswandaru , Head of the Dinporabudpar Iwan Setiyarso , Head of the Library and Archives Service Mohamad Toha Mustofa , Head of the Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Service Ngaliman , Head of BPPKAD Pitoyo Trusingtyas , Head of the Education Service Sunaryo , Head of the PMD Service Yayuk Windrati , and Secretary of BPPKAD Susi Widyorini .
This selection will determine who will lead the Blora Regency bureaucracy after the previous Regional Secretary's term ends, and will also serve as a key figure in overseeing the implementation of development programs and public services in the region. (Endah/KOM)
