INFOKU, BLORA –Residents of Blora are starting to feel the impact of the dry season.
In a number of villages, residents have had to hunt for clean water since early morning because the wells are starting to dry up.
On the other hand, the Tirta Amerta Blora Regional Drinking Water Company was forced to implement rotating water distribution due to the drastic reduction in raw water discharge.
This condition is starting to be felt by residents of Plosorejo Village, Randublatung District.

A number of residents' wells no longer produce water, so they flock to find water sources that are still available, from rivers to puddles in rice fields.
Yanto, a resident, said he now has to leave earlier to get clean water.
"If you don't leave early in the morning, you won't get any. You have to queue, and the place to get water is also far from home," he said.
The impact of the drought was also felt by the Tirta Amerta Blora Regional Drinking Water Company.

The Director of the Tirta Amerta Blora Regional Drinking Water Company, Yan Riya Pramono, told the press that the raw water discharge at the Ngampel Water Treatment Plant (IPA) had experienced a very significant decline.
Under normal conditions, the water source is able to support production for up to approximately 18 hours per day.
But now, the supply can only last about four hours.
"The reduction is very significant. From around 18 hours to just four hours per day. As a result, distribution to customers, especially in Tutup Village and along Jalan Gatot Subroto, has also been disrupted," he explained.
To minimize the impact of service disruptions, PDAM implements a rotating distribution system so that all customers continue to receive water supplies even if the volume is not yet optimal.
"We're rotating distribution to ensure all customers continue to receive water. It's not yet back to normal because production capacity has also decreased," he emphasized. (Endah/ IST )
