INFOKU, BLORA – After several consecutive demonstrations a few days ago, the hopes of the people of the South Blora region that the damaged Randublatung-Cepu Provincial Road would be immediately rebuilt have finally been answered.
This year, the Central Java Provincial Government will construct this section of road using rigid concrete, with the initial budget of IDR 5 billion being increased to more than IDR 30 billion.
This was revealed when the Deputy Regent of Blora, Sri Setyorini, together with the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of Central Java Province, Henggar Budi Anggoro, inspected the condition of the Randublatung-Cepu road section, Tuesday (9/6/2026).
Previously, the Randublatung Blora community went viral after taking action by clearing the damaged road, carrying several banana tree trunks and putting up banners demanding that the Randublatung-Cepu provincial road be repaired, on Thursday (4/6/2026).
According to Henggar, the government's commitment to improving the Randublatung-Cepu section is demonstrated through the allocation of an additional development budget through the Regional Head Regulation (Perkada).
"Our initial allocation was Rp5.276 billion, followed by an additional Rp28.7 billion through the Regional Regulation. The total for this section alone is over Rp30 billion," he said.
Regarding the implementation of the work, Henggar explained that currently the government is still completing additional design stages and the procurement process.
For the initial work package supported by a budget of IDR 5.276 billion, the tender process has been underway.
"It'll probably be around the end of July, because we're currently preparing the design and additional designs. The 5.276 billion rupiah section is currently in the tender process," he explained.
Henggar said the use of concrete construction was chosen so that the road would be more resistant to the loads of vehicles passing by every day.
With this budget support, the Central Java Provincial Government is optimistic that repairs to the Randublatung–Cepu section can be completed.
In fact, the provincial government is currently trying to obtain additional funding support through the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Regional Roads program for road construction in Blora.
Not only focusing on improvements, the Central Java Provincial Government has also begun to open up opportunities to submit proposals for the road section connecting Semarang–Blora–Cepu to become a national road.
Meanwhile, Blora Deputy Regent Hj. Sri Setyorini welcomed the Central Java Provincial Government's commitment to expediting repairs to the Randublatung–Cepu section.
He hopes that all provincial roads in Blora can be handled comprehensively according to the community's expectations and the targets conveyed by the Governor of Central Java.
"As I said earlier, the Head of the Office stated that this work will consist of two phases: the first is Rp. 5 billion, and the second will be Rp. 28.7 billion. As representatives of the Blora community, we hope that the Randublatung-Cepu Road will be fully operational, as the Governor envisions," he said.
According to him, the Governor of Central Java hopes that the road will be completed this year.
"As the Governor hoped, this project will be completed this year. So, make no mistake, the Governor is very hopeful. Earlier, the Head of the Office said that we could collaborate with the IJD to ensure his hopes are met. Thank you, Governor," concluded the Deputy Regent. (Setyorini)
