The Central Java Provincial Government confirmed that repairs to this section of road are included in the 2026 priority program with a budget of more than IDR 5 billion.

However, resident and initiator of the action, Lilik Yuliantoro, emphasized that monitoring would not stop until the project was truly completed and carried out according to standards.

Lilik came into the spotlight after holding a series of protests against the condition of the damaged roads, which the public had complained about for years.

Starting from painting the roads on Saturday (30/5), holding a road scrubbing action, to planting banana trees at points of severe damage the following day.

According to him, the action stemmed from the concerns of residents who traverse the Randublatung-Cepu route daily. Therefore, he did not want the repairs to be merely temporary.

"We reject patchwork repairs. This road is a main route, so it must be done with high quality. The hotmix must meet standards, not just be done haphazardly," he told the press yesterday (June 3).

Escort Until Completion

Lilik said that residents will continue to monitor the work process in the field.

In fact, he warned of the possibility of further action if the quality of the work was deemed not to meet community expectations.

"We will oversee this until completion. We must ensure that a large budget yields suboptimal results," he said.

In the previous action, Lilik also held up a yellow card as a warning symbol to the Central Java Provincial Government, to immediately take concrete steps to repair the damaged infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Java Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Agency, Henggar Budi Anggoro, confirmed that the repair of the Randublatung-Cepu Road had entered the auction stage.

"The provincial government has allocated a budget of Rp 5.276 billion for the maintenance of this section in 2026," he told the press.

According to Henggar, repairs will be focused on areas of heavy damage, particularly in the Kediren Village area.
