INFOKU, BLORA – The latest decision regarding the health insurance scheme has left tens of thousands of Blora residents in shaky shape.
As many as 35 thousand residents who were previously registered as BPJS Health premium assistance recipients (PBI), also known as Free BPJS for Pre-Prosperous Families, now have their status deactivated or frozen.
In response to this, Commission D of the Blora DPRD encouraged the use of a certificate of poverty (SKTM) as a short-term solution.
Deputy Chairman of Commission D of the Blora DPRD, Achlif Nugroho Widi Utomo, revealed that the main cause of this mass deactivation was a shift in poverty data variables.
"There's been a change in the decile. The previous decile was 1–5, but now it's 6–10. Those in decile 1–5 remain eligible for PBI, while those above are considered unfit," Achlif explained to the press.
However, residents still have the opportunity to reactivate their membership within six months of deactivation.
During that period, SKTM can be used to access health services.

The DPRD also urged the public to immediately check the active status of their BPJS Health insurance to avoid delays in processing the claim.
Current data shows that the number of APBN PBI participants in Blora has reached 371,364 people.
Meanwhile, 62,381 people receive PBI from the regional budget, with this year's budget exceeding Rp 30 billion. Meanwhile, the Blora Regency Baznas also covers approximately 3,000 BPJS participants.
This number increased from the previous 2 thousand people.
Meanwhile, there were 81,140 private wage earners, 55,028 civil servants, and 74,330 independent participants.
In response to this, the Head of the Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Dinsos P3A) of Blora Regency, Luluk Kusuma Agung Ariadi, said that the data is currently being rechecked.
"Currently, 485 people have submitted applications to the Social Services Agency. The remaining individuals are still undergoing a groundwork review to determine their eligibility for the decile classification by BPS, due to a shift in the decile in the National Census of Social Welfare," he concluded.
