INFOKU, BLORA –According to a story passed down through generations that is still circulating in the community, there used to be two hermit brothers who came from Janjang Village, the older brother named Jati Kusworo and the younger brother named Jati Kusumo.
During his meditation, the older brother always ate and slept, so the older brother always carried a kendil (rice cooking utensil) with him while he was meditating, while the younger brother never ate and never slept.
So the younger sibling has abilities and advantages when compared to his older sibling.
One day, Jati Kusworo broke the rice cooking jug, which woke his younger brother, Jati Kusumo.

But the younger brother managed to put the broken pieces of the jug back together again to its original shape without any trace of the broken pieces.
Because Jati Kusumo had extraordinary abilities (superiority=supernatural powers), the local people nicknamed his younger brother Sunan Janjang .
Because he felt that his abilities were below his younger brother, Jati Kusworo felt ashamed and left without saying goodbye (ran away) leaving his younger brother.
However, moved by his love for his brother, Jati Kusumo looked for his brother.
In his search, Jati Kusumo transformed into a big tiger and went into the forest to look for his older brother.
Once upon a time, Jati Kusumo, also known as Sunan Janjang, stopped by the west side of the village.
The aim is to meet a beautiful woman, with a slim body (tall), yellow skin, and dressed in yellow, so she is known as: Mbok Rondo Kuning , who comes from Jenjang Village.
A woman from the east approached him and expressed her disappointment because he did not want to stop in the eastern hamlet.
Responding to this question, Sunan Janjang said that people in the east have a jealous nature (kemitren).
So, Sunan Janjang, to commemorate the place the next day if there is a Rejaning Jaman, gave the village the name Kemiri Village, while the village to the west, because he stopped by (mampir=stopped by) then the village was given the name SEMAMPIR VILLAGE .
From another story , it is estimated that the origin of the birth or other name for Semampir Village was more or less during the era of the Demak Sultanate, around the 1500s.
At the time of the Bangsri war, during the Islamic Mataram Kingdom era.
The Bangsri War occurred around the 1890s, it was a rebellion of the Bangsri people led by the village head Noyo Gimbal against the Regent of Blora, Raden Mas Tumenggung Cokronegoro who supported the Dutch government.
Noyo Gimbal himself has the real name Noyo Sentiko , was a member of Prince Diponegoro's troops after Prince Diponegoro was defeated by the Dutch in 1930, his troops spread to the regions and put up sporadic resistance.
Including Noyo Santiko, who wouldn't cut his hair until the Dutch left Java. That's why the locals called him Noyo Gimbal.
It is said that the Bangsri war lasted a very long time and was heroic, its influence reached neighboring villages, including Semampir Village.
In various places, many corpses were found lying around, the bodies of Dutch soldiers were found stuck (Javanese = semampir) in a tree trunk in a place that we now know as Semampir Village.
