It can be seen that there is a housing complex on the edge of the Blora – Kunduran Road, precisely in the Ngancar Post area, Tunjungan, Blora Regency, which looks abandoned.

The housing complex, formerly known as Tawangrejo Asri, is now deserted and surrounded by bushes.

In fact, in terms of location, the housing is quite strategic because it is on the edge of the provincial road.

However, now only two-wheeled vehicles can pass through the entrance portal, while the paved road that was built is more often used by residents to get to the rice fields.

The housing complex, which was built around 2010 and inaugurated in 2011, has around 42 housing units on 3 hectares of land.

Unfortunately, the buildings are now in a state of disrepair—walls are cracked, ceilings are collapsed, and wild vegetation covers the houses.

"It was inaugurated around 2011," said the Head of Karangtawang Hamlet, Musiran, to the press, Wednesday (28/5/2025).

From Motorbike Prizes to Failed Occupancy Musiran said that there were buyers when the housing complex was inaugurated, and the first buyer even received a motorbike as a prize.

"I remember clearly when the first buyer got a motorbike," he said.

However, over time, the residents left their homes one by one. Electricity and water tanks were available for a time, but a major obstacle arose: the lack of a water source in the area.

"Yes, that's right, the housing is stalled because of water shortages," said Musiran.

But behind that, there is a mystical story that makes potential buyers back off.

According to Musiran, there were prospective buyers who cancelled their purchases because they felt they saw a mysterious apparition.

"Yes, it does look haunted. Reportedly, someone has looked at the house, but instead they were shown the figure of a person walking without a head, and they didn't end up buying it," he explained.

Even though it is unoccupied, the Tawangrejo Asri housing complex still pays land and building tax (PBB) of around IDR 1 million per year, through the village hall.

"But what is clear is that every year we pay almost one million rupiah in taxes," said Musiran.

The person who pays the tax is Sujat, who is assigned by the owner to look after the housing area.

However, now he is rarely seen.

"But he rarely looks after the housing complex anymore because reportedly he got a talisman from there and used it to become a massage therapist," Musiran added. (Roes/ processed from special sources )
