Until yesterday (30/11), banana trees were still seen planted on the road.

The Field Coordinator (Korlap) for the action, Yoyok Harianto, said that the action was due to residents' concerns due to road damage caused by the passing of   heavy vehicles belonging to Pertamina EP  Cepu  Field Zone 11.

"Almost every day, Pertamina vehicles pass by with a tonnage exceeding 25 tons, even though the road uses asphalt construction that is not suitable for Pertamina vehicles," he said.

He explained that the road that residents usually use is approximately 3.5 kilometers long, starting from the Sambong intersection on  the Blora -Cepu National Road to  the Pertamina work area  (WK) intersection.

"The damage occurred along the road from the Sambong intersection to the Pertamina Ledok intersection," he said.

Furthermore, Yoyok said that the last road construction was carried out in 2015.

However, for the past 5 years, the road has been crossed by Pertamina's heavy vehicles, which has resulted in road damage.

"Pertamina has repaired it, but only using  patching  ," he continued.

He said that the community had often asked Pertamina to build roads used by its heavy vehicles.

However, Pertamina argued that the road assets belonged to the district government, so it was not authorized to carry out road construction.

"Yes, we've asked, but Pertamina's excuse is that the current road belongs to the local government or district," he said.

New DPUPR Makes Proposal

Meanwhile, the Head of the Highways Division of the Blora Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency ( DPUPR ), Danang, in a press statement confirmed that the road assets had been transferred to the Blora Regency Government (Pemkab).

However, local residents demand that Pertamina be responsible for the movement of heavy vehicles passing through the road.

"Residents are demanding that Pertamina  repair the road  with rigid concrete because Pertamina is carrying out activities in Ledok Village," he explained.
