The Emergency Status for the Poisoning Incident at Blora 1 Middle School Has Been Declared, with Five Students Remaining Hospitalized.

INFOKU, BLORA – Thepoisoningexperienced by 204 students of SMPN 1 Blora was declared an Extraordinary Event (KLB) by the Head of the  Blora MBGSri Setyorini, Thursday (27/11).

"The KLB determination was made after the Blora Regency Government received an official letter from the National Nutrition Agency following the high number of affected students," he said.

He also explained that the authorities issued official recommendations regarding victim data and case developments from the  Blora Regency Regional Health Service  ( Dinkesda ).

According to him, the Blora Regency Government remains open regarding the incident.

The MBG provider, namely the Karangjati 1 Blora Nutrition Processing Service Unit ( SPPG )   , is also said to have received a letter of temporary operational suspension from the Directorate of Monitoring and Supervision through the Monitoring and Supervision Sector Region II.

"The operational suspension letter has been issued. This is part of a comprehensive handling and evaluation process," he explained.

In addition, the local government and a joint team also conducted field investigations.

"Our team is on the ground to examine all aspects of this incident. The Health Department will officially release the results   later," he said.

Sri Setyorini, who also serves as Deputy Regent of Blora, added that the regional government is committed to providing the best possible care to affected students and ensuring a thorough investigation.

"We ensure that the handling is optimal. All steps are being taken for the safety of the children and to clarify this case," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Blora Health Office, Nur Betsia, said that the total number of suspected food poisoning cases handled by Dr. R. Soetijono Blora Hospital and the Blora Army Health Service Hospital (DKT RS) reached 122 students.

Of these, 117 students underwent outpatient treatment, and five students were hospitalized.

"Currently, there are only three inpatients left: two at Blora General Hospital and one at Blora DKT Hospital. They are in good condition, and hopefully, they will be able to go home," he concluded.  (Endah/ IST )
