Meanwhile, Blora Regent  Arief Rohman  said the issuance of the decree for regulating new wells was still awaiting  verification  from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources ( ESDM ).

"We are still waiting for the verification process from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," he explained.

Previously, the Deputy Regent of Blora,  Sri Setyorini,  said that the regulation of thousands of   illegal  oil wells was hampered by regulations .

Until now, the District Government is still waiting for the issuance of the Decree (SK) of the Governor of  Central Java  as a legal basis for implementing the action.

"Regulating  illegal oil wells  must be done together to prevent unrest in the community," he said.

It is known that there are around 4,134 oil wells in Blora.

However, this data is still temporary and requires field verification.

The inventory that has been carried out will be used as material for a report to the Governor of Central Java, as well as the basis for submitting a legal application for the community's oil wells.

The Deputy Regent hopes that if the regulations are clear, the enforcement can be carried out in an integrated manner by involving the Regency Government, Provincial Government, security forces, and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD).
