INFOKU, BLORA - Jati Denok in Banjarjero Blora is not only a favorite because it is hundreds of years old but also because of its legend in the community.
It is located in the forest area of Jatisari Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency.
Its shape is not round, there are several depressions on this tree.
The most numerous depressions are at the base.
Jati denok has a circumference of about 9 meters and requires at least seven adult human arms to cover it.

Princess Candra Kirana & Tiger
It is said that this place was once a place of refuge for the princess of Kediri, Candra Kirana, to hide.
During her hiding, the princess was also guarded by a tiger known as the king of the jungle.

Jati Denok grows in the wilderness which covers several hamlet areas in Banjarejo District, Blora.
“Based on legend in the Banyuurip area (a hamlet in Banjarejo Village) there was a man named Candra Kirana.
"She is a princess of Kediri who ran away from the kingdom," he said when met at his house in Blora, Friday (29/3/2024).

Candra Kirana's escape made all the people of the kingdom move to find her whereabouts.
One of the figures who was looking for him was Raden Panji Inu Kertopati.
"Finally, many figures appeared who were looking for her, one of them was Raden Panji Inu Kertopati who was looking for Candra Kirana to be his wife," explained Totok.
Totok explained that the year of the incident could not be confirmed.
According to him, the year of the legend cannot be determined.

In the legend of a princess, it is believed that she is always guarded by a tiger.
Many of the stories in the Blora play are taken from stories about wild animals that guard the forest, namely tigers.
Anyone who wants to find Candra Kirana must be prepared to face the ferocity of a tiger.
It is unknown whether Princess Candra Kirana is still alive or has disappeared, so sometimes strange events are felt by people who are lost in that area.
