INFOKU, BLORA –Waste from the activities of the people's oil well in Gandu Village, Bojorejo District, Blora flows into the drainage system of the residents' settlement.
For this reason, the Blora Environmental Service (DLH) will collaborate with Pertamina to tackle pollution .
This was done because the Blora Regency Government did not yet have adequate equipment.
Head of the Blora Environmental Agency, Istadi Rusmanto, confirmed in a press statement that due to illegal oil drilling, water channels and drainage around residential areas were polluted by oil waste.
Therefore, it requires treatment so that the drainage channels can improve again.
"We have visited the location, and the drainage around the residential area is polluted," he explained.
Istadi said that after the fire was extinguished, his party planned to collaborate with Pertamina to resolve the problem.

"Because Pertamina has the complete equipment to decompose waste, we will collaborate with them," he said.
He also stated that he had not yet checked the impact of oil waste on the raw water consumed by the community.
Because when carrying out the check, the main focus is still the process of extinguishing the fire from the well mouth.

"We only checked the drainage system because at that time we were focused on extinguishing the fire," he added.
He emphasized that drilling oil wells must take environmental aspects into account.
This is so that the environment is not polluted by waste that could harm residents around the drilling area.
It is known that the well drilling carried out in Gandu Village, Bogorejo District, did not comply with standard operating procedures (SOP).
In addition to poorly managed waste, the waste also uses flammable PVC pipe connections. (Endah/ IST )
