This cultural event was also attended by the ranks of the Blora Regency Forkopimda, representatives of the Central Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Blora Regional Secretary, Heads of OPDs, Sub-district Heads, and Village/Lurah Heads throughout Blora Regency.

Putting a Cow Around the Neck

There is something unique, the event begins with the tradition of wearing a cow neckerchief or Ngalungi Sapi.

This tradition, which has been passed down through generations, is usually carried out by village communities in the month of Suro on Friday Pahing or Tuesday Kliwon, as an expression of gratitude for the harvest and blessings from livestock.

In this tradition, a cow is garlanded with coconut leaves and ketupat, followed by a communal prayer so that fortune will always flow smoothly and the community will always be given safety.

On this occasion, the Central Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights also officially handed over the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for the Ngalungi Sapi Culture to the Blora Regency Government.

This handover is an important milestone in efforts to maintain and preserve Blora's unique traditions so that they become more widely known, not only at the local but also national level.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of preserving Blora's customs and traditions.

"This cow-necklace tradition is a cultural treasure of Blora. We received intellectual property rights (HAKI) from the Ministry of Law so this can become a Blora tradition," said the Regent. (Setyorini)
