INFOKU, BLORA –It has been a week since the fire at the illegal oil well in Gandu Village, Bogorejo District, Blora Regency, Central Java, has still not been extinguished.
All kinds of efforts have been made to extinguish the fire that came out of the oil well.
Joint officers are still trying to end the fire.
Fatigue and exhaustion did not dampen the enthusiasm of the officers to continue extinguishing the fire.

The hard work and enthusiasm of the joint officers is also supported by the existence of a public kitchen.
Not only does it support the efforts of joint officers, the existence of public kitchens is also very important for providing food intake for refugees and affected residents.
The Coordinator of the Blora Regency Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana), Gaguk Setiawan, said the public kitchen cooked 900 portions of food for firefighters, evacuees, and residents affected by the fire.
"We provide an average of around 750 for local residents and around 150 for volunteers and so on. But sometimes it can be more than that, sometimes less than that," he said when met at the public kitchen at Gandu Village Hall, Saturday (23/8/2025).

Even though in one day, they prepare three meals.
That doesn't include requests for coffee or tea.
"That's for one meal. If it's three meals, it's three meals. Morning, noon, and evening. Heeh. Well, even if you pick it up late at night, we'll still give it to you."

He gave an example of preparing breakfast, the public kitchen had started cooking at one in the morning.
The public kitchen itself has been in existence since Monday, August 18, 2025, or the day after the fire occurred.
There are at least seven people who are always in the public kitchen.
However, there is still assistance in the form of personnel and logistics from the TNI-Polri ranks or other agencies.
"But we're still the ones who cook. They mostly help with cutting and wrapping. We're still the ones who cook," he emphasized. (Endah/ IST )
