There Have Been 1,014 Divorces in Blora in Half a Year

INFOKU, BLORA –After half a year, the divorce rate in Blora has increased. 

Divorce filings were dominated by wives, with the number reaching 762 cases of divorce lawsuits.

Meanwhile, 252 cases of divorce were recorded. The high divorce rate was generally caused by prolonged arguments, domestic violence, and gambling.

The Junior Legal Clerk of the Blora Regency Religious Court, Anjar Wisnugroho, revealed that divorce cases in Blora Regency are relatively high.

Each year, the number can reach hundreds, even thousands. Data collected as of the end of June indicates that applications have reached nearly a thousand.

"From the data we collected at the end of last June, the total number of cases of wives suing their husbands reached 762," he told the press.

Anjar explained that the number of divorce cases increased by 45 cases compared to June 2024.

"Last year, in the same month, there were 717 cases of wives suing their husbands," he explained.

Meanwhile, the total number of cases of husbands divorcing their wives from January to June 2025 reached 252.

This number also increased by 13 cases compared to 2024.

"Last year, up to June, there were 239 cases," he stressed.

Anjar added that cases where wives sue their husbands are generally motivated by ongoing arguments, with the percentage reaching 90 percent.

Meanwhile, other factors are influenced by economic conditions, domestic violence, gambling, and even one of the parties leaving.

"There are actually many factors, but the most significant is the ongoing fighting. This led to one of the parties filing a lawsuit," he concluded.  (Endah/ IST )
