INFOKU, BLORA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the Red and White Village Cooperative (MP) program simultaneously on Monday (July 21). The program was well received by the Blora Regency Government .
Blora is planned to boost the potential of its natural products such as rice and corn.
Blora Regent Arief Rohman said that his party is ready to consolidate the program in every village or sub-district.
"There are 295 villages/sub-districts that will begin implementing this program. Some are already underway," he said.
He gave the example of Trembulrejo Village, Ngawen District, which has implemented the cooperative program.

"It's already running there. Yesterday, the village started selling basic necessities. We're coordinating with others," he said.
According to him, these cooperatives will be able to boost the potential of the region's natural resources.
Like rice and corn, which are the biggest commodities in the Satay City.
"Blora's rice and corn potential can be utilized. Each village could have its own storage warehouse, which will then be mapped," he explained.
"Moreover , there are food barn villages or organic villages that we established some time ago," he added.

He confirmed that the Department of Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs (Dndagkop UKM), as well as the Department of Community and Village Empowerment (DPMD) will continue to provide assistance in developing the Red and White Kopdes.
"In addition to mentoring, we also conduct regular supervision. This includes connecting village or sub-district cooperatives with various relevant business stakeholders ," he said.
"For example, if the business is buying and selling rice, it will be connected to Bulog, and then to LPG. We're waiting for the latest regulations," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Blora Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Kiswoyo, confirmed that currently villages/sub-districts in Blora have formed the Red and White Cooperative.
"All 271 villages and 24 sub-districts have been registered and have received their legal entity establishment certificates. Now, we're starting with the inauguration of the business units, starting with Trembulrejo, Ngawen. As directed by the Regent, we will immediately encourage other villages to open businesses that align with their potential," said Kiswoyo. ( Endah/ IST )
