The reason is, during the chase incident between the police and the thief on Saturday (31/5) evening 02.15 WIB.
The truck driven by the perpetrator was crashed into a police car, in addition the perpetrator was carrying a sword. Until finally, he was able to escape.
"The fleeing truck driver was reported to be carrying a sharp weapon, a sword. Officers are still hunting for the perpetrator," said Sambong Police Chief AKP Tejo Utomo.
Tejo explained that the chase between police officers and the perpetrators driving a truck loaded with stolen teak wood occurred in the Ngareng area, Cepu District, Blora Regency.
The action ended after a patrol vehicle collided with a truck in the Ngroto area.
"As a result of the incident, the Sambong Police patrol vehicle was damaged after being hit by the perpetrator's truck," he said.
After the truck driver recklessly hit the rear of the patrol vehicle, the Strada car was crushed and the rear lights were broken, then the perpetrator fled, leaving the truck with the number K-8804-Y which was transporting stolen teak wood.
Adm KPH Cepu Mustopo said that his party is currently investigating the theft in the forest area in Nglebur Village, Jiken District, which is still being investigated by the police.
"Still under investigation by the police," he said.
Mustopo added that there were several areas of forest that had lost trees.
