INFOKU, BLORA -In an effort to encourage sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture, Blora Regent Arief Rohman, together with the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Management (PCNU) of Blora Regency and the Nahdlatul Ulama Agricultural Development Institute (LPPNU), held a mass harvest of organic rice in the rice fields of Sonokidul Village, Kunduran District, Blora Regency, Monday (2/6/2025).
In his remarks, Regent Arief Rohman expressed his commitment to continue encouraging the development of organic farming in all corners of the village.

"I ask LPPNU to provide training with a target of one branch one cadre. Later there will be around 300 organic farmer cadres. I also instruct the Head of the Agriculture Service to provide training to farmer groups. In addition, I hope the TNI and Polri can work together to support this program," said the Regent.
Regarding the expansion of organic agricultural land, the Regent also asked for support from all village heads through coordination with the Community and Village Empowerment Service (PMD).
"I suggest that each village head provide bengkok land as a trial location. The target is one hectare per village. For marketing, the Blora Regency Government has approached various parties, including the diaspora, to support standardization, certification, and product packaging so that it is worthy of being marketed more widely," he explained.
The Blora Regency Government will also collaborate with various universities that have agricultural study programs, in order to strengthen research and innovation in this sector.
This is important, considering that the soil characteristics in Blora still require in-depth study for the development of organic farming.
"We will also collaborate with BUMN, including Pertamina, to provide assistance and coaching to farmers. We hope that NU, especially LPPNU, will continue to play an active role so that the spirit of organic farmers can spread to all villages. We hope that Blora can become a brand as an Organic Regency," said the Regent.
One of the organic farmers under his guidance, Mas Duwi, also shared his experiences during three years of developing organic farming.
He said that farming with an organic system is more economical and the results also increase.

"I use organic fertilizers entirely, so the production costs are much cheaper. In this second planting season, I managed to harvest 6.3 tons. The results are very satisfying," he said.
This bumper harvest is expected to be the beginning of the revival of organic farming in Blora Regency and become an inspiration for other regions to implement a healthy, environmentally friendly, and sustainable farming system for the welfare of farmers and sustainability. (Setyorini)
