Damaged Inter-Village Bridge in Ngawen Due to Flood Will Be Handled This Year

INFOKU, BLORA – Road closures are being carried out onbridge between villages located on the Trembulrejo-Randualas road, precisely in Talokwohmojo Village, Ngawen, Blora Regency.

This is because the condition of the main bridge connecting the villages was badly damaged after being hit by floods last month.

Now, it has been closed for four-wheeled vehicles.  The Blora Regency Government  immediately took action.

It is known that the damage is quite severe, the end of the bridge which functions as a riser has fallen about 20 centimeters.

And, the embankment collapsed 15 meters deep.

Due to the damage, the Blora Regency Government through the Blora Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) immediately took action to repair the bridge section.

Head of Highways  at the Blora PUPR Office,  Danang Adiamintara, said that repairs are targeted to be carried out this year.

The construction of the Temuwoh Bridge has been budgeted at IDR 10 billion from the APBD.

"It has been budgeted from the APBD, amounting to Rp. 10 billion for the repair of the Temuwoh Bridge, the plan is to build it in 2025," he explained.

He also explained that the tender process is currently underway.

So the target is for the repair of the Temuwoh Bridge to begin in July or August 2025.

"If the target is July, August, God willing, it will start. Because currently it is still in the tender process,'' he explained.

"It has been budgeted from the APBD, amounting to Rp. 10 billion for the repair of the Temuwoh Bridge, the plan is to build it in 2025," he added.

Talokwohmojo Village Head Ernawan said that the condition of the land around the bridge foundation was starting to erode due to the strong flow of the river.

The erosion makes the bridge structure no longer safe for large vehicles to pass through.

"The land around the bridge foundation has begun to erode and is very prone to landslides. For the time being, we only allow two-wheeled vehicles to pass. Even then, we must be extra careful," he said.

"We have put up warnings and closed access for cars. This is for the safety of all. This bridge is very important because it is the main route for people to go to school, markets, and other activities," he concluded.  (Endah/ IST )
