INFOKU, BLORA - Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto, agrees and is ready to support Blora Regency to become a center for sorghum plant development in Indonesia.
He conveyed this during the certified sorghum seed harvest activity on the land of the Barokah Farmers Group, Dukuh Gelam, Kedungwungu Village, Todanan District, Sunday (11/5/2025).
"This is good, sorghum can be an alternative food ingredient for the future. Moreover, the price is also profitable for farmers. It remains to be seen how we socialize it so that it can be consumed more widely and the export market is also open.
"I agree if Blora is made the center for sorghum development," said Mendes Yandri.
Meanwhile, Blora Regent Arief Rohman said that the Blora Regency Government through the Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Service is ready to support sorghum farming.

Moreover, Blora has the largest cattle commodity in Central Java. So in addition to taking the seeds, the tree can also be a healthy animal feed ingredient," he explained.
