INFOKU, BLORA - The National Alms Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BAZNAS RI) launched the 47th Livestock Center program in Temulus Village, Randublatung District, Blora Regency, Central Java.
The launch was to improve the welfare of small farmers through an integrated livestock breeding and fattening approach with community empowerment.
The BAZNAS Livestock Center in Blora was officially established on November 1, 2024 in Temulus Village, Randublatung District.
A total of 20 male farmers are members of this group, which currently manages a livestock population of 205 head.
The launch of the BAZNAS Blora Regency Livestock Center, which is part of the Taman Rojokoyo Manunggal Livestock Farmers Group, was carried out in Temulus Village, Randublatung District, Blora Regency, Central Java Province, Thursday (15/5/2025).
Chairman of BAZNAS RI, Prof. Dr. KH. Noor Achmad, MA., said that the Livestock Center Program is part of BAZNAS' strategy in empowering the mustahik economy through communal livestock management.
"With professional and sustainable management, this Livestock Center can be a model for other regions in developing a community-based livestock sector," said Kiai Noor.
Kiai Noor explained that this livestock center adopts a communal maintenance system, where livestock are maintained together in one area.
"Through the community economic empowerment model, BAZNAS provides productive assets in the form of livestock to mustahik, with the hope that they can be economically independent and escape the poverty line," said Kiai Noor.
According to him, Blora Regency was chosen as the location for the development of the Livestock Center because it has great potential in the field of sheep farming.
Meanwhile, the Head of BAZNAS Blora Regency, Sutaat, added that this program is in line with BAZNAS Blora's commitment to improving people's standard of living through productive programs.
"This Livestock Center is a concrete step in our efforts to empower small farmers to be more independent and prosperous," said Sutaat.
He said, the Livestock Center in Blora has 205 sheep, including 49 female sheep of the Cross Texel, Cross Merino, and Dorper F1 types; 97 male sheep of the Cross Merino, Cross Texel, Cross Garut, and Awassi types; and 2 male Texel and Dorper F1, and 1 male kid.
Meanwhile, Blora Regent Arief Rohman expressed his highest appreciation to all leaders of BAZNAS RI, Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, related agencies, and all parties who have worked hard to realize the presence of this program in Blora Regency.

"This is a strategic and extraordinary step in empowering the people's economy, especially for mustahik livestock farmers. This Livestock Center was built through good cooperation between BAZNAS RI, BAZNAS Blora Regency, the Cooperatives and SMEs Service of Central Java Province, and DP4 Blora Regency. We should be grateful for this synergy," explained the Regent.
The Regent hopes that this Livestock Center will become a driving force for the economy at the village level and a model for other regions. This is not only about economic empowerment, but also about building the independence and dignity of the mustahik. (Setyorini)
