After 6 Years of Hiatus, Sugarcane Bride Tradition Returns to Enliven PT Gendis Multi Manis Blora

INFOKU, BLORA -After being on hiatus for six years, the Sugar Cane Bride tradition was held again with great enthusiasm at the PT Gendhis Multi Manis (GMM) Sugar Factory in Blora, Central Java.

This sacred event features two stalks of sugar cane brought together like a bride and groom, paraded to the accompaniment of traditional music and arts.

This Sugarcane Bride tradition marks the start of the 2025 sugarcane grinding season at the GMM Sugar Mill, Todanan District, Blora Regency.

Apart from being an expression of gratitude for the abundant sugarcane harvest, this tradition also aims to ask for prayers so that the entire sugarcane milling process this year runs smoothly and successfully.
