INFOKU, BLORA -The Blora Regency Government (Pemkab) welcomes and fully supports the People's School program initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
"The district government is ready to facilitate the establishment of People's Schools so that children from underprivileged families can still get a decent education. This is in line with our poverty alleviation program," said Regent Arief, during the Coordination Meeting for the Implementation of People's Schools with all elements of OPD in the Secretariat Meeting Room, Monday (17/3/2025).
He emphasized his commitment to supporting the program and was ready to facilitate it, because the People's School program aims to provide free access to education for underprivileged communities.

He stated that his party wanted Blora children to be able to go to school without any economic limitations.
"We do not want any more children in Blora Regency to drop out of school due to economic constraints. Everyone must have access to proper education," he said.
Quick Action, Regent Arief asked the Regional Secretary to form a team to accelerate the People's School program and coordinate more intensively, to immediately prepare a cover letter for the People's School proposal to the Central Government.
"The plan is that in Blora there will be two locations in Cepu and Jepon Districts," said Blora Regent Arief Rohman.
In its realization, the People's School will be established with three approaches, namely utilizing existing buildings, renovating old assets, or building from scratch on land measuring 5 to 10 hectares.
All educational costs at People's Schools will be fully covered by the state.
"Later, this People's School will be specifically for children from underprivileged families, planned to be in a dormitory. Funding is 100 percent free, including uniforms, school supplies, and other needs," said the Regent.
This school will implement a boarding school system with 24-hour coaching in a conducive environment.
The curriculum combines national and international standards and emphasizes character education, leadership, and national defense.
He also hopes that the People's School program will be a real solution to improving human resources. (Setyorini/KOM)
