INFOKU -Blora Regent, Arief Rohman, was pleased to be able to attend the Regional Head retreat organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Magelang Akmil Complex.
Since the first day (21/2/2025) of the retreat until the second day (22/2/2025), he admitted that he was increasingly enthusiastic about participating in all the activities arranged for all regional heads, both Governors, Regents and Mayors.
In a press statement on Saturday afternoon (22/2/2025) during the lunch break, the Regent who began his second term conveyed his impressions.
"Never been to Akmil before. It turned out that the atmosphere was very comfortable and certainly memorable. The image of Akmil as tough and scary, disappeared instantly, we were all welcomed warmly. This will be an unforgettable experience, an extraordinary experience," said Arief Rohman.
According to him, after yesterday afternoon the Minister of Home Affairs provided a briefing on entering Akmil, everyone was immediately given an explanation of the rules and schedule of activities during the retreat.
"Everything is clear and straightforward. The speaker is directly the Minister of Home Affairs. This morning the official opening was by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian. There is Lemhanas, there will also be other ministers who will give presentations. The plan is to close it, Mr. President, next week," continued Arief.
He admitted that it felt good and comfortable, sleeping in a glamping tent, even though rest time was arranged according to a schedule.
"I got the A3/01 tent with Mas Faiz Kurniawan, the Regent of Batang and Pak Sudewo, the Regent of Pati. Alhamdulillah, I slept quite soundly last night. I woke up at 4 in the morning to prepare for the dawn prayer and morning exercise with all the regional heads," he added.
Through this activity, according to him, it can be a place for joint learning in building bureaucratic cohesion and synergy between regions. Sharing knowledge and experience with other regional heads.
"Becoming a regional head requires a firm leadership spirit, able to build communication to maintain bureaucratic unity. This is what we are learning here together," continued Arief.
"In addition, it is also to deepen the duties and functions of regional heads. Then deepen the President's Asta Cita program. We also learn to build chemistry of program compatibility between the central, provincial and regional governments. Earlier, we had a photo with the Minister of Home Affairs, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi and West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. A lot of knowledge was shared, very useful," he explained.
With a tight and well-organized schedule, he admitted that he needed a fit and healthy body.
"Because the activities are dense, we also have to pay attention to diet and exercise. The culture of being on time is very necessary. Hopefully at the end of the retreat, our weight can go down. Because everything here is very much taken care of. In the end, we can all be physically and mentally ready to serve the community optimally and carry out development in our respective regions," said Arief.
