Three Landslides in Randublatung Installed with Wooden Sheet Piles, Anticipating Further Landslides

INFOKU, BLORA - From monitoring, three landslide locations  in Randublatung District  have been fitted with  wooden retaining walls  to prevent more serious landslides.  

Meanwhile, for the filling, residents and the village government carried out  mutual cooperation .

The Blora Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency ( DPUPR ) is still working on  permanent landslide management  .

Head of the Water Resources ( SDA )  Division of the Blora PUPR,  Surat, revealed that the handling of the three landslides in Randublatung District had been completed.

Currently, landslide management uses wooden retaining walls to prevent more serious landslides.

"Yesterday at the location in Dukuh Bulakan, Pilang Village, it was completed, now the land filling will be carried out by the village government's mutual cooperation," he said.

The letter said that two other locations, namely Dukuh Becici and Bladeg,  Kutukan Village,  had also been completed.

With the same handling, namely wooden retaining walls as landslide barriers.

"As long as there is no  more land movement  , it could also be permanent. We will monitor the developments later. If there is still movement, the community must remain calm," he said.

He emphasized that the construction of wooden retaining walls was an  emergency measure  to reduce the impact of the damage that occurred.

It is hoped that this can prevent landslides from happening again.

For the follow-up handling plan, coordination has been attempted with the  PPK  OP 4  BBWS Bengawan Solo ranks .

"So that this year we will also get priority for further handling," he said.

He also said that last year,  BBWS  Bengawan Solo  had carried out landslide handling work by constructing gabion walls on the lower side of the river embankment.

However, it has not yet reached the upper part of the landslide embankment wall.

In order to follow up on the coordination, his party is still waiting for information from the Bengawan Solo BBWS.

"Considering that this year the river maintenance budget owned by BBWS Bengawan Solo is also very limited," he added.
