INFOKU, BLORA -The naming of Jalan Pramoedya Ananta Toer has not taken place on Jalan Sumbawa.
In fact, the road has more historical value. Because, it is close to the Toer brothers' childhood home.
In fact, it was agreed that Jalan Pramoedya would be moved to a new road, precisely on the border road between Mlangsen and Beran Sub-districts.
The reason for moving the location to Jalan Pramoedya was because Pram 's family did not want to bother the residents of Jalan Sumbawa who had to take care of changes in population administration .

Blora Regent Arief Rohman said that Jalan Pramoedya Ananta Toer has been agreed to be on the new road.
Currently, the road condition is still not asphalt, still gross soil. His party will build the road in the future.
"Yes, we plan to build it straight away," he said.
The road connects Cendana/Gunandar road or the border of Mlangsen Village and Beran Village, Blora District to Mr. Iskandar Blora Road, the western end is right at the T-junction opposite Sido Makmur Market .
"We put the plan for Jalan Pramoedya there," he stressed.
It is known that initially the naming of Jalan Pramoedya Ananta Toer was planned to change the name of Jalan Sumbawa.
Namely, the road section near the childhood home of the author of the Buru Island Tetralogy . Also the Pramoedya Ananta Toer Library, Children of All Nations ( Pataba ) Blora.

However, based on discussions with local residents, many still feel reluctant to see any changes.

"Indeed, this is the result of discussions (with residents), they are the ones who asked for it. Because if we change the road (Sumbawa), we will have to change the administration, starting from KTP, KK, land certificates, and so on," he explained.
In addition to having a dialogue with residents on Jalan Sumbawa, Regent Arief also had discussions with Pramoedya's family in Jakarta.
They did not question the results of the discussion with the residents. So, Pram's family also agreed that the new road in Mlangsen Village would be named Pramoedya Ananta Toer Street as a form of respect.
Moreover, according to Pramoedya's family, he did not want to cause trouble.
