INFOKU, BLORA – The creativity of teachersinJati District is very much in the art of performing ketoprak.
Like a theater performance, they act out the story of Kebo Mercuet Autumn.
Complete with attached attributes to make the show or art performance more attractive.
One of the teachers at SDN 3 Selogender, Muji Hartono, said that the selection of the play Kebo Mercuet Gugur was an agreement of the teachers' association in Jati District.
It took three weeks of practice to blend the storyline with the characters each teacher played.
"This activity is also carried out every time we come home from school , after lessons," he said to the press.
Muji said that there were 30 teachers from various subjects involved.
Plus ten students to add to the play being performed.
He admitted that he would continue to continue and preserve the culture that had been passed down from generation to generation.
"Maybe we will practice once a month, so that we can perform again in the future," said Muji.
According to him, the teachers who act out characters in the art of ketoprak not only develop local arts, but also serve as a means of entertainment.

"We are indeed busy with teaching and learning activities, but it is also a means of entertainment for us," he explained.
The activity aims to strengthen solidarity and awareness of the importance of the role of teachers in improving the nation's life.

Appreciation of the Regent of Blora
It should be noted that the ketoprak art performance was held in the hall of the Jati District Education Coordinator's Office (Korwil Bidik) in the context of National Teachers' Day and the 79th Anniversary of the Indonesian Teachers Association ( PGRI ).
Separately, Blora Regent Arief Rohman hopes that the ketoprak art of the educators, which is named Dwija Jati Budaya, can be entertaining and sustainable in the future.
"We'll see later, if it's good, we can invite them to the hall," explained the Regent.
The Regent also appreciated the activities carried out by the teachers.
According to him, this is the first time that ketoprak art has been performed by teachers in Jati District.
Of course, this indicates that Jati District really cares about arts and culture.
"God willing, later we will support this preservation effort. Moreover, the other principals and teachers, of course, also provide learning to their students," he explained.
The Regent added that the preservation of ketoprak culture must continue to be carried out.
Thus, the arts and culture in Blora, especially in Jati District, continue to be preserved. This shows the commitment of teachers in Jati District to always provide examples for students through this art performance.
