After Bojonegoro Movable Dam Sluice Gate Opened, Bengawan Solo Water Flow in Cepu Tends to Decrease

INFOKU, BLORA -Despite experiencing an increase, the Cepu Water Level  ( TMA )  is still  on green alert .

However, until yesterday afternoon the TMA trend tended to fall.

This was caused by the nine gates  of the Movable Dam  in Bojonegoro being opened.

The Blora Regional Disaster Management Agency ( BPBD ) continues to monitor  the Bengawan Solo  until the evening while the rainy season  is still hitting Blora.

Blora BPBD Data and Information Operator   Agung Triyono revealed that the TMA in Cepu had experienced an increase on Monday (16/12) until yesterday morning.

However, from monitoring until yesterday afternoon, the TMA tended to decrease to 22.05 meters.

"For now, it is still green alert. Because it is still below 22.63 meters," he explained.

Triyono said that the opening of the nine sluice gates of the Movable Dam in Bojonegoro is thought to have had an impact on lowering the Cepu TMA.

Meanwhile, from monitoring upstream, such as Ngawi yesterday, it also tended to decrease, with a yellow alert status.

"In Cepu and its surroundings, the water of Bengawan Solo has not yet reached the villages," he stressed.

He said that TMA Cepu could change at any time.

Moreover, currently, it is still the rainy season. Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency ( BMKG ), the Blora area is predicted to still have the potential for   moderate rain .

"We are ready to report hourly," he said.

He said, since the river water rose, the Blora BPBD team continued to monitor the situation and conditions of the TMA, even until the evening.

"We will continue to monitor it at night," he said.

Dio Febriansyah, a resident of Balun, Cepu District, said that since  the embankment was built, flooding from overflowing river water   has never occurred.
