Impact of Drought in All Sub-districts, Blora District Government Discusses Building Reservoirs

INFOKU, BLORA –The Blora Regency Governmentplansto build  water reservoirs  for 16  sub-districts  hit by a clean water crisis. 

This is so that it can  hold water  and make it easier when dropping clean water.

Head  of the Blora Regional Disaster Management Agency ( BPBD ) Mulyowati said that currently there are 196 villages affected by  drought , whereas last year there were only 14 sub-districts.

This year there are 2 additional sub-districts. So, all sub-districts in Blora are affected by the clean water crisis.

The clean water crisis received a lot of assistance from various parties.

Starting from the district government to the private sector, it is marked by the provision of water assistance from various parties, which is very beneficial for residents in need.

"Alhamdulillah, the assistance so far has certainly been very helpful to the community, even though it has rained, a number of people still really need clean water," said Mulyowati.

He also said, in an effort to overcome the drought in Blora, his party is working with the sub-districts to provide information on which villages are affected by the drought.

"Since the beginning of  the dry season  until now, BPBD has dropped 525 water tanks, CSR 20 water tanks, PMI 135 water tanks. Meanwhile, Baznas and many volunteers have carried out clean water drops," he explained.

Meanwhile, Blora DPRD Member Supardi said that drought is an annual problem that occurs in Blora.

"This is unfinished homework. Even though the plan is to increase village funds," he explained.

According to him, every village needs to have water storage posts.

Later, in every village that is experiencing drought, there will be water storage posts. It can then be filled with water from BPBD.
