INFOKU, BLORA –Regarding the many reports from residents regarding illegal racing on the Blora-Rembang Highway in Blora City District late at night.
Residents feel uneasy because the exhaust sound is noisy and endangers other road users.
Therefore, Blora Police took firm action. A total of 18 motorbikes were confiscated.
It is known that the 18 motorbikes that were secured had the status of being bodong, meaning they did not have documents such as STNK, and even worse, they used noisy exhausts.
Blora Police Chief AKBP Wawan Andi Susanto said that in areas where the roads are smooth, illegal racing is often carried out.

"We appeal to all residents of Blora Regency to obey and comply with traffic rules . And, we emphasize not to get involved in illegal racing. Because it disturbs residents and can be dangerous. Both endangering yourself and others," he said.
According to him, of the dozens of motorbikes that his team managed to seize, the illegal racing was carried out late at night.
And, those who do are teenagers who are probably still in school.
"This is also for parents. Because outdoor racing occurs around 23.00 WIB to 01.00 WIB. Please always supervise. Don't let our children get involved in illegal racing or become victims of traffic accidents because of illegal racing," he said.

He also added, in order to ensure the security and comfort of the community, especially on weekend nights, the Blora Police synergize with the TNI and other cross-sectors to carry out large-scale patrols.
Patrols will target all areas and will also be carried out by the Polsek ranks together with Koramil in 16 sub-districts in Blora Regency.
Meanwhile, motorbikes that are confiscated and ticketed are subject to a maximum penalty of detention.
So, this can have a deterrent effect.
