INFOKU, BLORA -The General Election Commission (KPU) of Blora Regency has officially determined the seats obtained by political parties (Parpol) and elected legislative candidates in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

Chairman of the Blora KPU, Widi Nurintan Ari Kurnianto, explained that this determination was made at a Plenary Meeting which was attended by the Blora Bawaslu staff, representatives of political parties, as well as Blora stakeholders. The meeting was held at the Almadina Blora Hotel, Thursday (2/5/2024).

"The determination of seat acquisition comes from the Blora Regency General Election Commission (KPU) decision number 929 of 2024 concerning the determination of seat acquisition for Blora Regency DPRD members," he explained.

Meanwhile, the determination of elected legislative candidates comes from the decision of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Blora Regency number 930 of 2024 concerning the determination of elected candidates for members of the Blora Regency DPRD.

Based on the results of the Blora KPU plenary meeting, of the 18 political parties participating in the 2024 election, ten political parties succeeded in obtaining seats in the Blora DPRD.

The ten political parties are the National Awakening Party (PKB) with eleven seats. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) has eight seats, followed by the Golkar Party, NasDem Party and Gerindra Party with five seats each.

Furthermore, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Democratic Party and United Development Party have three seats and the Perindo Party and Hanura Party have one seat each.

Chairman of the Blora KPU, Widi Nurintan Ari Kurnianto, said that the announcement of the appointment of elected legislative candidates was in accordance with existing regulations, namely PKPU number 6 of 2024.

"The Blora KPU only determines the elected legislative candidates and seats are obtained according to the majority of votes in that political party," explained Widi.

If there are any changes, explained Widi, based on the mechanism in accordance with Election Law number 7 of 2017, election participants who are political parties must send a notification letter to the KPU, then the KPU will provide clarification.

"After everything is finished, we will submit it to the Province, just waiting for the inauguration which will take place in August 2024," added Widi.

Widi admitted that he had received two letters from political parties. Namely from the Golkar Party and PDIP.

"However, the two letters are different in nature," explained Widi.

The letter sent by the Golkar Party, explained Widi, stated that there was one legislative candidate elected in electoral district (dapil) 3, Meidi Usmanto, who had been determined by the Blora KPU to have submitted his resignation for health reasons.

"The letter has been sent directly to the Blora KPU by the Chairman of the Blora Golkar Party DPD and the elected legislative candidates. "And the Blora KPU immediately processed and clarified," said Widi.

Meanwhile, Widi admitted that he did not know the contents of the letter from PDIP. Because the letter is a deposit.
