INFOKU,BLORA - Blora Regent Arief Rohman visited the Indonesian Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) in the Gambir area, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/4/2024).
This was done in order to encourage the acceleration of development of Ngawen Market which burned down some time ago.
Accompanied by the Head of the Cooperative and SME Trade Service, Kiswoyo and the Head of the Markets Division, Margo Yuwono, the Regent was immediately received by the Director of Trade and Logistics Facilities (Sardaglog) of the Ministry of Trade, Sri Sugyatmanto.
In the meeting which took place on the 3rd floor of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade's Directorate of Trade and Logistics Building, the Regent conveyed the progress of the application for the construction of the Ngawen People's Market, which burned down in January 2024.

"Yesterday we communicated with the Minister of State Secretariat and the Director General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR. Everything is okay, just waiting for a letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Trade which explains that Ngawen Market is worthy of assistance so that it can be rebuilt immediately.
"This recommendation will later be used as the basis for PUPR's Cipta Karya to build the market," he said to the Director of Sardaglog.
According to news from Cipta Karya, there is a possibility that construction will be carried out over several years.
However, as a start, it will be encouraged this year so that construction can begin with a budget from Cipta Karya PUPR.
Moreover, he continued, last January the President went to Blora with the PUPR Minister. Previously, the Minister of Trade had also visited Blora.
"So we just need to push the technicalities," added Regent Arief.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cooperative and SME Trade Service, Kiswoyo together with the Head of the Market Division, Margo Yuwono, said that the budget needed for the construction of Ngawen Market is estimated at more than IDR 50 billion.

"We had a consultation yesterday, the budget requirement could reach IDR 50 billion to IDR 70 billion. Thank you, Mr. Regent, for helping with cross-ministerial coordination. Hopefully Ngawen Market can be rebuilt soon. "The construction will be carried out directly by the PUPR Ministry through the Directorate General of Human Settlements," said Kiswoyo. (Setyorini/KOM)
