INFOKU — Central Java Province (Jateng) is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has a wealth of forest products.
The following are five regions in Central Java (Central Java) with the largest forest areas.
Reporting from Central Java Statistics Agency (BPS) data summarized in Central Java (Jateng) Province in Figures 2023 , Central Java has a production forest area of 649,348.25 hectares.

1. Blora
Blora is the district in Central Java (Central Java) with the largest forest area.
Based on Central Java BPS data sourced from the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) concerning Designation of Forest and Water Areas and Agreement on Forest Use Management (TGHK), the forest area in Blora reached 90,816.58 hectares.
Of this large area, most of it is production forest, reaching 90,491.33 hectares.
2. Grobogan
Grobogan Regency is the second area with the largest forest area in Central Java.
The forest area in Grobogan reaches 69,954.23 hectares.
3. Brebes
Brebes Regency is the area in Central Java with the largest population.
However, Brebes is also known as an area that has many forest areas.
In fact, the forest area in Brebes is quite extensive and is in third place as the area in Central Java that has the largest forest area.
The forest area in Brebes currently reaches 50,009.40 hectares. Of that area, part of it is permanent production forest, reaching 23,132.23 hectares.
4. Cilacap
Cilacap Regency is not only known as the largest district in Central Java. Cilacap is also known as one of the areas in Central Java that has the largest forest area.
The forest area in Cilacap reaches 49,859.29 hectares, of which around 27,919.77 hectares is permanent production forest.
5. Banyumas
Banyumas, which is located next to Cilacap, is also one of the areas in Central Java with the largest forest area.
