INFOKU, BLORA – Three gold shop robbers across the provinces of East Java and Central Java will face up to 10 years in prison .
Based on the results of the development, the mastermind behind the robbery in three locations, namely Kedungtuban, Cepu and Bojonegoro, was named Andut Prasetyo (AP).
AP was the one who mobilized the other two perpetrators, namely Gaguk Susanto (GS) and Mahruf Muhikrom (MM).
They were arrested in two locations. Namely, at the House (GS) of Sidem Village, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency, East Java on April 21 at 04.00 WIB.
At that time, MM was also at the location, not long afterward AP was arrested after being tracked to Prima Medika Hospital in Tulungagung.
"After the results of the development, information was obtained that AP was the master mind of the robbery of gold shops in three places," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Police Commissioner Satake Bayu Setianto, Wednesday (24/4).
Satake said that the three of them are currently at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters along with the evidence found during the arrest. They are subject to Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft committed by two or more people accompanied by violence or threats of violence.
"All three face a sentence of 10 years in prison," he said.
He explained that the perpetrator had sold gold from the robbery which was also used as evidence for IDR 8.2 million.

In the arrest of the three suspects, the Tulungagung Resmob was involved with the help of tracking through data collection from closed-circuit television (CCTV) video recordings.
Since the robbery of the "Sahabatku" Gold Shop in Cepu District in August 2023, the team has continued to pursue it.
Then in Bojonegoro in October 2023 and followed by the robbery of the "Pure" Gold Shop in Wado Village, Kedungtuban District on April 16.
At a press conference at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters yesterday (24/4), it was noted that several pieces of evidence had been confiscated.
These include 55 plain gold rings, 18 patterned gold rings, 2 gold bracelets, 26 gold floral motifs, and 140 pairs of gold earrings.
