INFOKU, BLORA - The first thek-thek festival at the Blora Regency level was successfully held and attracted thousands of spectators, on Sunday (7/4/2024) evening.
The Blora Regent Arief Rohman hopes that this event, which is classified as spectacular at the end of the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah, can be held again next year for two days for the student and general categories so that it will be even more lively.
“This is extraordinary, I didn't expect it to be this lively. A very extraordinary welcome. "Even though it was implemented for the first time at the student level," he said.
"Next year there could be two days, namely the first day for the student category, the second day for the general public," he said.
"I express my thanks and appreciation to Blosmed friends and the parties who have helped the Blora Regency Government in raising the potential of cultural traditions in the month of Ramadhan," added the Regent.

It is said that the timing of the thethek festival is just right, namely in the month of Ramadan and the 2024 Eid holiday period.
So that the event can be enjoyed by Blora residents who are returning home to their hometown.
Moreover, at the first thethek festival, which was opened directly by Regent Arief and the entire Forkompimda, there was a special performance by a tongklek music group from Tuban, East Java, namely Keraton Luwuk.
Head of the Communications and Informatics Service, Pratikto Nogroho, explained that the activity was labeled Blosmed Thek-Thek Festival 2024.
"The goal is to stimulate people's creativity in creating things. Introducing long-standing traditions to the younger generation. Preserving positive traditions during Ramadan into district scale events. Building a spirit of togetherness and cohesiveness among the District Community. Blora," he said.

It is said that in 2024 it will be held for the first time at the Blora Regency level involving 25 groups.
The elements assessed are creativity, cohesiveness of make-up/costume/property, appearance. (Endah)
