INFOKU, BLORA - Blora Police are continuing to investigate the house fire which caused the crude oil storage in Plantungan Village, Blora District to burn down.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the Blora Police, Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP) Selamet, said that his party had examined a number of witnesses regarding the incident.
According to the results of our crime scene investigation, it was a fire. "But later, from the results of our investigation, from examining witnesses at the crime scene, if there are indications that it was there (burned), we will definitely convey it to media friends," said Selamet at a press conference at the Blora Police Headquarters, Central Java, Sunday (7/4/2024).
In the fire which also destroyed more than a hundred crude oil storage tanks, the police are still calculating the amount of losses.
"The losses related to the oil cannot yet be estimated, we are still carrying out investigations," he explained.
Before the incident occurred, the police said there were around 50 tons of crude oil stored in the shelter.
"If it is related to legal issues, because it is a community activity and it has been going on for a long time, so we will also carry out an investigation related to the community activity," he said.
As reported, a major fire that occurred in Plantungan Village, Blora District, shocked the local community.
The incident occurred on Sunday (7/4/2024) in the morning at around 02.30 WIB. The fire came from a resident's house which caught fire due to an electrical short circuit.
Furthermore, he revealed that around the burning house there was a crude oil storage tank which also caught fire.

"So the place where the house fire happened happened to be next door to a crude oil storage area managed by local residents and this happened almost 5 or 10 years ago, and we are still investigating the losses," he explained. (Endah/ IST )
