To Develop Ecotourism, Blora Regency Government Will Collaborate with UNS

INFOKU, BLORA - Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta is exploring cooperation with the Blora Regency Government in developing ecotourism potential. 

One of the areas that will be mapped is Sumber Village, Kradenan District, Blora Regency.

The first step in the exploration, Prof. Dr. Rahmawati from UNS and her entourage visited Blora, Thursday (11/1/2024).

The activity is to map out a plan to develop ecotourism potential in Blora by empowering villages through the potential of batik SMEs and sedulur sikep culture in Sumber Village.

Prof. Dr. Rahmawati was received directly by the Regent of Blora, H. Arief Rohman at the Official House Hall accompanied by the Head of the Dindakop UKM Service, and the Blora Bappeda.

Prof. Dr. Rahmawati said that she came with her entourage to explain the plan to develop ecotourism potential in Blora with the concept of creative economic development.

"In the future, the hope is that it will become a creative economy whose end result will be an addition to society," he explained.

According to Prof. Dr. Rahmawati, the choice of Sumber Village because there is a lot of potential that can be explored in the village. One of them is the existence of Sedulur Sikep Samin and the potential for developing written batik MSMEs in the village.

"Later we will map the problems in the community and provide assistance. Some time ago, we also visited batik craftsmen, and later we will also be able to go to Sedulur Sikep Samin village to arrange and develop it into a tourist attraction. "The goal is of course to generate additional economic benefits for the community," he explained.

Not only in the tourism sector, continued Prof. Rahmawati, in the future, if possible, we can also collaborate regarding other fields that have the potential to be developed in Blora.

Responding to this, Regent H Arief Rohman appreciated the arrival of the UNS team to Blora whose plan was to develop the tourism potential in Blora.

Namely by empowering villages through the potential of batik SMEs and sedulur sikep culture in Sumber Village, Kradenan District.
