Blora Police Holds Press Conference on Brong Exhaust Enforcement

INFOKU, BLORA - Blora Police held a Press Conference to take action against exhausts that do not comply with road specifications or Brong exhausts. Sunday (14/1/2024), on the front page of the Blora Police Headquarters.  

After the Central Java Zero Exhaust Brong Declaration Call in front of the Blora Police Headquarters, Blora Police Chief AKBP Jaka Wahyudi, together with Forkopimda immediately carried out the press conference.

Blora Police Chief AKBP Jaka Wahyudi said that the Central Java Zero Brong Exhaust Declaration activity which was followed by the destruction of Brong exhaust was the attention of the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

And he conveyed that the basis for the prohibition on the use of Brong exhausts is regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic, Article 285 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 106 paragraph (3).

"Every person who drives a motorbike on a road that does not meet the technical and roadworthy requirements which include rear view mirrors, horn, headlight, brake light, direction light, light reflecting device, speed measuring device, exhaust and tire tread depth as mentioned "in article 106 paragraph (3) in conjunction with article 48 paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) is punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 1 month or a fine of a maximum of IDR 250,000," said the Blora Police Chief.

The Police Chief said, this activity is also a start to holding the 2024 elections in a safe and peaceful manner.

"To create a traffic security and traffic security and anticipate the implementation of an open election campaign to anticipate incidents that could disrupt security and repeat events," continued the Police Chief.

Then the Police Chief said that action against Brong exhaust violations in 2023 was 21,628 and at the beginning of 2024 there were 283.

"The results of taking action against visible violations with ETLE Hand Held in 2022 were 25,690, then in 2023 there were 21,650. "Violations decreased by 4040, down 16%," said the Police Chief.

Then the number of accident incidents in 2023 was 412, 77 people died, 7 people were seriously injured, 474 people were slightly injured, material losses were IDR 583,250,000, 

The police chief advised all residents to obey traffic rules and not use Brong exhausts. Because it starts from violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents.

After the conference continued the destruction of evidence of Brong exhaust using a grinding cutting tool. (Endah)
